This device allows you to use some Contax/Yashica mount manual focus lenses on your Nikon cameras.

This is the list of lenses (some others could apply):

MM Distagon* 18mm f4.0, MM Distagon* 21mm f2.8, MM Distagon* 25mm f2.8, MM Distagon 28mm f2.0, MM Distagon* 28mm f2.8, MM Distagon* 35mm f2.8, MM Planar* 50mm f1.7, MM Planar* 50mm f1.4, MM Makro-Planar C* 60mm f2.8, MM Sonnar* 85mm f2.8, MM Sonnar* 100mm f3.5, MM Sonnar* 135mmm f2.8, MM Tele-Tessar 200mm f4

It is an accessory that has to be mounted in place of the original Contax mount and is a purely mechanical alteration and fully reversible.  The replacement requires a tool and is easy to fit.

 Any adjustments that require an electronic connection between the lens and the body is not possible.  There are many good quality Contax lenses that deserve to be used with Nikon cameras.

IMPORTANT

This is the replacement bayonet to use MM type narrow diameter Zeiss/Contax T* lenses, made of brass, chromed silver.

-The conversion is fully reversible and will not damage either the lens or the camera.
-The Zeiss/Contax lenses will focus to infinity.maintain the aperture click stops
-The professional grade Nikon cameras (D200 and up), and FujiFilm S5Pro, will meter in Av mode (stop-down).
-Users of non professional Nikon cameras (D40, D60, D80, D90) can select Manual mode and check the histogram of a test shot to meter accurately.

Please note:

1) MM Distagon 21/2.8, 25/2.8, 28/2.8, 35/2.8, 50/1.7, 60/2.8, 100/3.5, 135/2.8 will fit direct, and does not need to have the rear lens barrel shaved to be used on Full Frame Nikon cameras.

2) MM Distagon 18/4, 50/1.4 will probably need to have the rear lens barrel shaved to be used on Full Frame Nikon cameras.

3) MM Distagon 18/4 CAN NOT be used with a full frame Nikon camera.
