It is an accessory that adapts the mounts from a mechanical point of view.  ALLOWS FOCUS TO INFINITY.  Any automatic feature that requires an electronic connection between the lens and the body is  not possible.  There are many good quality manual lenses adapted to 4/3 (FT- Four-thirds) that deserve to be used on your Sony-E cameras.
