Adapter for Pentax-K lens to Olympus 4/3

This adapter allows the use of accessories and Pentax-K (E-1, E-3, E-300, E-330, E-4xx, 5-Exx...) lenses on your Olympus 4/3 camera.

Before purchasing this item it is IMPORTANT to read the passages below as most Pentax-K lenses need modification before use with this adapter.

Modifications necessary for Pentax-K lenses

The bayonet mount of the Pentax-K reflex design has remained unchanged for decades.  There is a vast range of lenses and accessories in this series.  The most outstanding being the Pentax SMC with fixed focal.  Other manufactures offer good quality lenses with this mount like Tamron, Sigma, Rioch, Chinon, Cosina, Loma, Vivitar and Zenit.  This adapter opens a world of economical options.

This adapter is a totally mechanical device and therefore it is not possible for the camera to control the diaphragm or the approach of the lens and must be adjusted manually.  This is not usually a problem for macro-photography or when using a long and fully open telephoto lens, making the two applications very suitable for this type of adapter.

The majority of Pentx-K lenses have a rear lever, that controls the diaphragm, which extends out the rear end.  This lever could hit the cameras mirror so it is necessary to remove it, to enable you to use the lens with the adapter on your camera.
